From first request to client response
A practical walkthrough for starting free and deciding when you need an online Gather workspace.
Your first client checklist
- 01
Open the website-content template. Choose one real project and name the pages, coordinator and proposed delivery date. Leave uncertain items visibly open.
- 02
Review the draft and choose “Build your client checklist” in the same tab. The temporary handoff lasts up to 30 minutes. If you already have a saved draft, download the new one before opening the old work.
- 03
Use the free browser workspace to organize the requests yourself. It supports up to 50 checklists on this browser. Download a backup; browser storage is not an online account.
When you need client responses
Request your online workspace, verify your email and set your password. The 14-day trial begins when you first open the signed-in workspace. No card is required and the trial does not charge automatically.
Review any browser-workspace import before saving it. Open the checklist’s sharing controls to create a client response link. Send the link yourself through your agreed channel. Clients can respond without creating an account.
Check one complete loop
- The client can open the link and understand each request.
- An answer or file link arrives on the correct checklist.
- You check completeness and file access before marking it reviewed.
- Missing items remain visible for the next follow-up.
Gather collects text and links to existing file storage; it does not host the original files or automatically email reminders. Keep passwords and sensitive records in an appropriate secure channel.
Choose whether to continue online
Standard is $49 USD per month, plus applicable taxes, for one owner and up to 1,000 checklists. It renews monthly after checkout until cancelled. If the trial ends without payment, existing online records remain viewable and exportable; continuing online editing requires Standard.
Keep the next request clear.
Start without an account. When you want clients to answer directly, the optional Standard workspace adds response links.
